Organization Advisors

Each RSO must select an advisor from the University's full-time faculty or staff. Advisors help promote the continuity for RSOs through support and guidance of student officers. While the exact relationship between a RSO and the advisor will vary, the Student Activities Center asks all advisors to adhere to the following guiding principles:

Advisors:
  • Serve as a role model, mentor, and resource
  • Demonstrate skills in ethics, communication, organizational development, and leadership
  • Are available and approachable to the group's officers and members
Why serve as a RSO Advisor?
  • Advisors have the opportunty to help students learn and grow
  • Increase interaction with students
  • Support co-curriclar opportunities
  • Help students advance a common purpose and goals
