Community

University of the Pacific is committed to its role as a strong community partner in Sacramento, San Francisco and Stockton. We are working to help address the challenges confronting Northern California, and we take pride in celebrating the successes we achieve in collaboration with our neighbors.
University of the Pacific is part of the diverse and dynamic communities of Sacramento, San Francisco and Stockton. We would like to congratulate the city of Stockton for being recognized with the All-America City Award for the fifth time in 2018. This award from the National Civic League recognizes the work of communities in using inclusive civic engagement, local innovation and cross-sector collaboration.
Community involvement is one of Pacific's core values. Recognizing that the university's future is tightly intertwined with the future of the three communities where we are located, we have sharpened our focus on local engagement through the launch and strengthening of our various community-oriented initiatives.
